无花果

My day has been progressing quite badly due to the following events:

1. Woke up feeling groggy as of the previous few days. My mind is getting kind of sluggish for some reason. I really hope it gets better soon!

2. As I was trying to start reading, a very disturbing drilling noise came from the apartment 2 floors down. How am I supposed to concentrate? Thankfully it has stopped now. According to the person doing the drilling work (yes I went down to ask when the drilling will end), today is supposed to be the only drilling day. There will be no more loud construction on the subsequent days, which will be GREAT.

3. Kept making the same mistakes! I am going to practice one more question and move on to the next topic. Let's get this right Inggrid!! :)

I was eating some preserved fruits by the name of the above title. I thought it is quite apt for this post and kind of describes how unproductive my day is.

I was about to leave this out but I guess I shall type it out. Okay maybe it is kind of silly to be hoping for something to happen despite the slim chance of it happening. I guess it is my fault for letting myself have that bit of hope for Shaun enrolling this year. It is quite a selfish hope, I know. So anyway it seems like he is advised to defer his enrolment for another year. Of course I couldn't help myself and felt sad. It's a natural (selfish) first reaction right? But I guess there's really no point lingering on this issue until there is a final decision. If it is really meant to be, then things will work out. Be it LDR or finding a job here or some other route that is still not in sight... it really comes down to effort (and maybe fate?). All I need to work towards now are good grades and a good degree because everything else is beyond my control.

One step at a time :)

My beloved and lovelettes, you're all dearly missed.

The nerdy me has decided that blogging shall be my choice of break from looking at exam related materials. I am quite amazed at my inefficiency. Can you believe that I spent 7 hours doing a 10 page presentation for my French oral? Of course, having said that, I can say that I've finished one of them (both power point and script) which leaves me 3 more exciting presentations to prepare for. Note: it is only for French oral examination.

The way the French oral exam will go about is pretty interesting. We were given 4 topics to prepare beforehand. On the day of the oral exam, we'll present one of the four topics we had prepared. The thing is, we sort of get to pick which topic to present- out of the hat style i.e. pick a random piece of paper and present the one that is written on it. It sounds exciting issn't it! :)

It has been 3 days since I reached London. My flight back got delayed by 5 hours, which perhaps a blessing in disguise of some sort. It gave me around 3 more hours of my beloved without parents' presence! I ended up reaching London at midnight though. My poor sister had sacrifice her sleep which makes me feel bad as I think about it. She had to wake up early on the following day for work.

Anyway, both the underground and Heathrow Express had ended their service by the time I got out. My sister was not willing to pay a hefty sum (£75 to be exact) for the cab back home. She so reluctant that she suggested to actually sleepover at the airport before Heathrow Express operates in the morning. My jaw literally dropped when I heard that. But of course, she was joking. We managed to hitch a ride back home though. Naw, now I'm just kidding. SIA provided a complimentary cab ride due to the delay. How nice of them! :D

Truthfully speaking, and perhaps scarily, it doesn't feel like as if I spent 4-5 months here after summer. The 5 weeks in Singapore was so normal and pleasant that I forgot all about London. I'm not even joking. I presume it's the LSE effect. My dread of coming back to London because of the exams has temporarily altered my memory of this city. It's such a shame considering how pleasurable the weather here is like... among other things. One thing that I'm really glad about being back in London is the current season, my favourite one too, SPRING! Gentle Sun, nice and cool weather, greeeeeen grass, flowers blooming, people enjoying the warmer weather.. sigh I can just go on and on talking about it. I'm in such a dilemma about my feelings towards London! Never ask me whether I love/dislike this place. I will never be able to produce a definite answer unless... the picture is complete. ;)

Alrighty, time to get back to work. I shall not get to bed before I finish a chapter (or maybe 2) of statistics + French homework. I CAN DO THIS! :D

an unexpected finding (or two)

Guess what I had for dinner! Clue: something fishy.

It's Friday!! I'm quite unsure about the level of excitement I am having right now. No school for the next couple of days, true, but the level of assignments they've set us for the coming week is unbelievable. I have not started on any of them so that really suck! Plus, the packing I'll need to do... urgh. Can't they just give us a break already? Why the influx of assignments due on the very last week? (why am I so dead lazy?)

Let's digress away from the sad stuff. Happy stuff! FOOD! Yummo. My sister was supposed to make a dish with salmon for tonight's dinner but she had to cancel that due to OT. I was so prepared to have it for dinner! It's like my taste buds are all excited and ready to taste the fishy-ness erupting in my mouth but had to disappoint due to the last minute change. You know like how when you expect something for a meal but you didn't get what you want in the end and had the craving for something similar? That's basically how I felt an hour ago.

In an attempt to satisfy my unsatisfied craving, I went to ransack the dried food cabinet and found a long lost instant sauce. Next to it was a packet of unfinished spaghetti. In less than a split second, I decided how I should satisfy myself in the next 30 minutes. I was really glad that preparation took less than 10 minutes and there was no hassle at all! Cook spaghetti till al dente, take it out of the water, mix in the sauce and seaweed (they both came in the packet), wash a couple of lettuce leaves and serve! I just had to take a couple of pictures of the end process, above and the following:

It looks a bit like Chinese noodles doesn't it? Like mushroom and mince pork noodles, or something similar. It's actually Japanese sauce.

MEN-TAI-KO!! Absolute yummo! The base is made of cods' eggs I think. It tastes really fishy, totally fatty and a bit sourish. It has this small balls-y texture because of the cods' eggs. I cringed for a while upon the virgin taste but it gets pretty addictive soon after.

I've been indulging in so much good and fatty food lately! Singapore is going to make me even more horizontally altered, le sigh. I haven't been gym-ing much lately. I was supposed to work-out more on Wednesday but the gym had to close after the pilates class I attended due to electrical failure. & because of that, I was not able to attend the calorie-burning class, Fight Klub!! It's just a fancy name for kick-boxing really.

Speaking of gym, something pretty cool happened on Wednesday. It was after we were told that Fight Klub had to be cancelled (before they told us they had to close the gym). We were asking the trainer about whether we can continue without the lights, air-con and music. The girl who was seated next to me asked me if I were Singaporean upon hearing my accent. So obviously I told her I am Indonesian but is just like a Singaporean and the usual stuff. We started chatting and I found out that she's a Singaporean (she doesn't look like one since she's mixed and she has un-singaporean accent) and studies at LSE!

Not cool enough? Well, today I met her again for Fight Klub and chatted after the session. It was then when I found out that she was from SMSS! COOL or not?!! It's so rare to find SMSS girls in the UK, let alone LSE (the Rs dominates this place). Another cool thing that I found out was... *drum rolls* SHE WAS ONE OF THE MORNING EXERCISE GIRLS! We used to have this morning exercise routine on one of the weekdays (was it Wednesday/ Friday?) and she was one of the demonstrators (alongside Benny and Mr Lee if I'm not wrong, or was it Mdm Rossenah?). No wonder I found that she looks so familiar! (Actually I was thinking whether all the Eurasians have the typical face because they all look pretty much the same- pretty nonetheless, yes pun intended if you didn't get that) She's already in her final year though. Hmm, I wonder if there are other SMSS girls at LSE...

Anyway, I digressed quite a lot didn't I? I've spent so much time typing this out too T_T oh well. It's going to be a busy, busy day tomorrow (onwards)!!

Random: I've started using Google Chrome today. It's so fast O_O

Rouge

I spent a majority of tuesday night out. Rare thing considering my strict curfew. It was pretty fresh because I never clubbed before. As in pure club, not birthday party celebration inside a club, but yea, go to a club simply to have fun. The company was alright, I basically hung out with Karina (cool girl from Management, I have the same maths & stats lecture as her)! She makes the dancing part really fun. :D

I barely drunk any alcohol, I don't think the DJ was great (of course this is just a noob's point of view!) and nothing much stood out really. Not satisfied. I spent some time trying to get myself involved in the girls' conversation (from Karina's hall) but.......... makes me think of what Serene and I talked about. ;)

My camera is really rotting. I only took like 30 pictures in total? Not satisfied. Not enough familiar faces e.g. Serene, Julia, Reg, ect! Anyway, I've selected a few to post up.

This is Karrots (that's what I call her). :)

It was a pretty small place!

The 2 waiters, I was meant to take the dance floor which is like right in front of them. It was pretty small too.

Ok, there's a really short story (or maybe not) behind this. One other girl who shared the same table took this shot too.

Yes Reg, home sweet home. Shared cab with Fel and her. Reg is really funny when she's high!!

In a nutshell, I thought clubbing is just another way of spending the night. Even though my first experience wasn't a fun one, I don't think I should judge clubbing just yet. I'm really not satisfied with my virgin trial! :(

worst day ever

Today was such a horrible day. Primarily it's due to the fact that my bank application got postponed... again! Goodness, it has been months (and if you really want to talk about it in real terms, it's been years really) since I've been trying to open a bank account. Various reasons/ events will pop up before/ during my application and hence delaying the process. It's so mega difficult to open a bank account here if you are a first year, above 18, picky, doesn't have much knowledge about opening bank accounts and siblings who thinks that you're able to survive without a bank account. Ugrh, I really hate pushing blames to others but, really, I wish they were agreeable in doing me the favour of telling my parents that a bank account is necessary ever since A levels. It could have been super cheap and convenient if it were to be settled then. Oh God.

Someone please tell me: is it silly to get stressed over this issue? :(

Oh yea, adding on to my misfortune, I just ruined my 2nd piece of denim. Really, when will things be rocking my socks off again? (I take back that "again")

To think that I did a couple of small (good) deeds earlier on in the day.

Thursday, 3 December 2009

everything starts with a small thing?

I just wrote two long paragraphs about how horrible human beings are for reaping satisfaction over someone's sorrow. But apparently, I've deleted them off since there's no need to emphasise how imperfect (in my opinion) this society is. It's only going to make me a sadder being.

The past week hasn't been the best set of days I have. Everything is going wrong! It's really annoying when you're thinking that it'll get better the next day when it actually got even worse. Everyday. Have you felt that way before? From getting your locker broken in, stuff ransacked, your trust about LSE and London destroyed, feeling like you're relatively slower among everyone because you're not keeping up with work, exlusive (negative),... my mind, body and soul are all so down right now. Le sigh. Can I really wait for the holidays? Will it be better? I know that I'll definitely be feeling even more empty then, since so many people are heading back this December! :(

I shall not brood over that. I am listening to Lily's album (It's Not You, It's Me) now and came across one of the songs, Chinese. I reckon it's regarding LDR. Good tune, it's very gentle, lullaby-y! It has pretty nice lyrics too. "I don't want anything more than to see your face when you open the door" -agreed. Let your ears hear the song! (below)

Yea, yea I'm really slow! I have this habit (sometimes) of getting albums and putting them aside for some time before listening to them. Grr, I just have no time to listen to all of them even though I would love to! :(

Anyway, I'm getting some more albums as I'm typing this. Lily Allen's album is really good. WHY DID I KEEP SET IT ASIDE!! Good thing Chanel's website reminded me of it! I was initially attracted by 22 which was on their website (Lily Allen represented for the launch of Chanel Coco Cocoon back in October).

Ohgawd, it's 12.01AM now. I'd better run.

I feel like bingeing

It feels like I haven't blogged for a month. Gosh, time is passing by so slowly! :(

Recently, I find that LSE is not as awesome as what I thought it would be. Or rather, my expectations are actually irrelevant to the reality that I am facing now. I feel like I have been cheated by all the branding, marketing and all those tactics. LSE is actually a regular London university: lectures, classes and socialising activities. At this point, I would say that what sets it apart is the number of workshops they organise, the history and diversity of the student body. This list should build up in time to come... I hope. Ahhh, it'll be great if I live in halls for 1st year! I feel really bitter to think about the number of events I've been missing out on due to agreements that I've made (and being "considerate"- sigh).

Grr I can't believe I am actually complaining about the university which I have been dreaming of since Secondary 3/4? This sucks! Where has the optimism (the few drops of it) gone to? :(

French is probably the highlight so far. Yes, I am taking french as part of my course. However, I may be switching to full modules of maths and stats (read GEEK x3 and DOOM xinfinity) before 30th October/sooner. Sigh, stepping into university has forced me to start planning on my future path. The modules that I will be taking on my first year will affect the ones I will be taking on the subsequent years. & one of the methods which I use to decide which modules to take is to consider the modules that I may want to take in the future. Confusing? Oh well, the thing is I can't really seek advice from anyone since this is MY future and I have to plan for MY OWN future. (the advice that I've got so far are very neutral except a few anyway) & the more advice I seek, the more confused/ undivided I get.

Ahh.. I think this is the reason why I feel old and I dread being old. At last! Some light as to why I'm feeling so listless. The wonders of blogging. :)
dont worry b, told u so :)
Let's get back to the topic. Yes, French. The language makes me feel so vulnerable and weak, like a complete beginner (which I obviously am). It's been really long since I've picked up something entirely new. It makes me feel quite alive, learning something from scratch albeit the pace we are doing it. I just hate it when we learn complicated things before knowing the basics well. For example, today we were thrown a whole paragraph of introduction (where I study, which degree and why) and our homework was to memorize how to write it and how to say it! Arghhh but oh well, I guess that can't be helped. :/

It's currently 2 weeks into term (we call it Michaelmas Term here- how cool is that! One of the pleasures I get at LSE) and I've a lot of catching up to do. Seriously, a lot! Sigh. I haven't even gotten my textbook. Except for one, which is borrowed from the library. It's pretty gross because there's dried up liquid marks at the lower 1/3 of the book... with yellow edges. Think chromatography and the end point? Arghhh I'm spreading my stupidity and confusion around aren't I!! (Geez, I am actually talking in my blog post wts T_T)

Okay, this is getting to nowhere. I'm out!

The night is my haven

♥ radiohead ♥

Phew! I feel so much better. It's quite a day issn't it. Never have I felt this way before. I feel like a fool now.
a fool who cries waaaaaay too much and easily haha
After lying in bed for more than half of my day, it hit me that I am perhaps taking things too seriously/ seeing things a bit too far/ expecting too much. It's easy to lose oneself in relationships, and I think I did. I don't blame anyone, neither you nor myself, for being so. It happens all the time and all we have to do is to just realise where we are standing, who we are and where we want to go. Carpe diem, I remember saying that. However, it wouldn't be seized if we don't make the best out of it.

I guess I've got the taste of what it's like being in LDR (the bad side of it) in these couple of days. There's not enough experience for me to make an overall conclusion. I am not even over with my current stage, really. But for now, I believe we need to have faith, trust (lots of it) and communication (!!!). Oh yea, honesty, patience and understanding too. They are all really important aspects to keep the attachment (I wanted to say "thing" but it's so general and meaningless) going. I let myself down today by allowing my own emotions/ selfish desires take over. I've got to learn how to share. (damn it)

There's one thing that has been bugging me for quite some time though. I wanted to discuss this with somebody but I haven't got the chance to. So, this is basically what I, personally, think. When we conciously did something to upset someone, are we actually in the position to remind the upset person that we (in defence) actually have the honesty to tell the truth? Can you imagine being so disappointed and dejected and the person suddenly asks for credit for the honesty to come forward. Of course, that came after apologizing. Immediately after apologizing. It makes the whole situation seem as though the person is almost assuming that being forgiven is a 100% thing. It just doesn't show how bad the person felt/ how remorseful the person is upon upsetting the other party. It has sort of an opposing effect to sincerity.
hahaha hence the "reluctance" baby ;)
For the time being, I believe in the old fashioned way of asking for forgiveness: we apologize and wait to be forgiven. Show remorse; the more the better. Inject all that sincerity into apologizing and make sure that it's genuine and not elaborated. Don't jump into defence, making it seem as if it's the other person's fault for being upset/ giving the person the chance to upset the other person. Note that I am not saying we should never justify ourselves. We should, at the right time and method.

Feel free to debate/ show me another vista!

With regards to the previous post... haha, I totally understand the situation. We are all imperfect beings aren't we? Got to forgive, baby.
both you and me
I shall finish my second half of 恋空 (koi-zora) even though it's going to make my eyes even more swollen that it already is. It makes me feel grateful yet envious (??!?!?!) about some stuff. Haha, that's quite an oximoron but you'll have to watch it and or you won't understand!

Hehe, Mila thanks for the infinite care. I hate the time difference too! I miss you so much. :')

maybe that's not the word to describe it

Lately I've got the chance to taste of my own medicine and come to a conclusion that I am a horrible person. Ha. But it doesn't mean that it should be forced down my throat because I know what it is like and I am trying to correct it, correct myself and correct the world.
why cant we all be totally simple minded

yum, curry is nice

Sighhh, I can't even shop properly now, which is a good thing considering my current saving (yes, I have started a new saving!!) and the thing(s) that I want to buy (not sure which one(s) yet). I know I need to buy one camisole because I spoilt my other one, which happens to be my favourite. But I could only find the one that I want online and it's not worth paying for the delivery charge when it is close to the price of the camisole. All the other stuff are either not my size, not the right colour or just not the right one. Boo. :(

I felt studious in college for once. I reached school like 20 minutes before my first class starts and spent the time wisely by revising for my Economics test period which is after my first 2 periods. It was just about the area that came up for the test (factors that contributed to Globalisation). Nevertheless, I still screwed it up pretty much because I ranted instead of focusing on the question. I have the tendency to do that for every tests, sigh. Biology class was pretty boring but time went by really fast. I wanted to pay attention to what Dr Sherratt was teaching but Naz was sitting next to me and we were sitting at the back + I was feeling sleepy = I learnt nothing. What a waste of my studious mood. :(

Things have reverted back to the bad old sucky days afterall. T_T

I had a really good weekend though! :)

broke my record :(

:'(

So, so many unlucky things happened today. Booooo :( One of them includes getting myself a bloody wound on my right knee which hurts like @#%$ a while ago. Let me try and cover some of the things that happened: (trying to go in order, from morning onwards)
  1. Woke up feeling a bit heaty, especially on the lips... it was expelling a lot of heat. I think I am falling sick :(
  2. Nearly slipped while I was walking towards the Park Hill direction. Wore the wrong shoes?
  3. Maths class was @#%-ing boring. I was desperately wanting to fall asleep but I knew I mustn't because... because I love maths! (y) No la, it's because obviously Mrs Eyers is going to be upset with me and I do not want that to happen since my mission in life is to make her happy! (she told us that in the first lesson) Anyway I tried really hard to keep myself awake by pinching my arm more than 5 times... ouch, shouldn't have done that.
  4. After Maths I felt like a zombie. Dead tired. Hence, my Economics test period was screwed although it was an easy one.
  5. Got even more zombie-fied.
  6. I wanted to skip Biology class which is on the last 2 periods and it's supposed to end at 5PM. If I do that then I will be able to go home at 1PM. But I didn't.
  7. So I went for Biology. I didn't absorb anything at all because I was a zombie and interacting with Naz on a piece of paper was more interesting than listening to Dr Sherratt, who was not in a good mood. No one likes it when she's in that state. We got held back by 10 minutes because we couldn't give her good responses during class.
  8. Went home straight after school, and walked like a zombie. I decided to take a short cut since I was feeling lazy. I had to walk down quite a steep slope and it was covered with moss. Guess what? YES, I FELL DOWN. Or rather, slipped and knelt. Ouch, shouldn't have taken that route.
  9. At the busstop, I decided to check on my knees by patting them and it felt wet. Guess what again? MY RIGHT KNEE WAS BLEEDING (it still is now). I couldn't see whether it was an open wound because I was wearing thick black stockings. :(
  10. I felt miserable while walking (or rather, wobbling) home. :( :( :(
Terrible, terrible. I never fell down for really long and now, an ugly wound on my knee. I don't want a scar... it's really demoralising because my knee is unsightly and my birthday is coming (in less than a week's time- HINT HINT). & it's painful! I hate how the wound sizzles with pain after it gets into contact with water. Wts, this is mental torture.

But you know, since I am a Buddhist, I should start thinking of the yin and yang of the situation:
  1. My lips looked red and sexy! :D
  2. I didn't slip earlier on, and the shoes matches my outfit. I like the sound it makes as well. :)
  3. When I am sleepy, I find that I am more responsive. Yea, I responded to most of Mrs Eyer's questions today wheeeeeee! :D
  4. Mistakes made during the test period is better than making them on the real exam day.
  5. I didn't make too much noise and was considerate for the people who were having classes.
  6. I wasn't marked absent for Biology.
  7. I cleared some of the doubts that I had since the previous lesson.
  8. No one that I didn't want to see me falling was there. Imagine the embarrasment that I could have suffered! (Yes, Shaun thank goodness you didn't walk me to East Croydon station)
  9. Thank goodness once more that I was wearing black stockings and it didn't tear or else it would have been so disgusting baring my bloody wound to the world.
  10. MY SISTER COOKED FRIED RICE INDONESIAN STYLE WHOOHOOO! It's spicy. :D
Yea, that made me feel much better now. Oh, and I guess my wound also gave me the chance to finally use my Mr. Happy plasters!

Haha, okayyy maybe it's not that bloody afterall~

C for communication

Boo :(

I had a heavy dinner about 2 hours ago. It made me feel really heavy now... as in no digestion is taking place. My stomach feels rather uncomfortable at the moment. :(

Come to think of it, I haven't been JE-ing for a long time. Although I am still watching some doramas, most of them doesn't really have JE boys. 流星の絆 (Ryusei no Kizuna) is probably the only one qualified in my list because Nino and Ryo (of course) are in it. I am halfway though the dorama now, because the website which I usually download my weekly dose of japanese shows has stopped uploading its links. It's not THAT nice though... I think Innocent Love is better. The storyline and acting are somewhat more convincing. Not sure whether the link issue is temporary or not; I don't really like the idea of not finish watching a series unless it's ridiculously long e.g. 真情. Thousands of episode, wts?!

Ryo should star in more damn good doramas like 1 Litre of Tears and Last Friends, despite the fact that his role in the latter show doesn't make him very likable. Ahhh~~ I miss seeing Ryo with his old hairstyle (definitely not the boring/ weird one in Ryusei), doing his model like walk and grinning from ear to ear! ... I am starting to get the fangirl feeling again teehee. It's been a while. ;D

Anyway, today was a very cold day. I forgot to bring my scarf, which is really a very careless thing to do. My chest was freeeeeeeeeezing seriously. Thank goodness I remembered to wear the right shoes. I nearly slipped like for gazillion of times yesterday on my way to college as I wore boots with lousy grip. It took me like nearly 30 minutes to reach college, unlike the usual 10-15 minutes! Hopefully it's a blessing in disguise though i.e. burn more calories. That'll be a swellllll! :D

Thought of the day is that communication is very important to keep the connection alive. Hmm, I think I should do this segment regularly from now onwards!

Alrighttttt, time for me to hit the sack. ...I think my eyelids just went to bed before my brain did/

manipulation/ the truth?

I am not doing it because of what I've done but how you are reacting to it, how you are showing your concern, how hungry you are to be in control. I know some of my flaws, which I am very apologetic about. But aren't there other methods which you can use to correct it?

Fucking hurts. Really. I need something to cheer me up.
i cannot be selfish/ where's the confidence?
Joy never last.

it was enough

DONE.

No more examinations untillll a few more months! This time was horrendous, caught unprepared for my last few papers which are the crucial ones. Sighhhhhh, undoubtedly the one that I just completed was poorly done. My right hand is on the verge to break down when the time was up. I was writing super quickly but not very efficiently because I kept on getting spelling mistakes and had to go back to cancel and rewrite it again, taking up even more time. I didn't complete the paper, as usual. But I guess what's done is done and I shall not dedicate too much of my time mourning over my performance.

The results will be released on the 5th of March. The day when butterflies will start to flutter around in my stomach, the day when I will experience another round of cold sweat, the day when I will blame myself for today, yesterday and the past.
fluffy cheeks then?
Welllll, today wasn't as bad as yesterday noon... there were some perks! Better than yesterday's I guess because I get to use my other 4 senses. Wheeeeee~ :D I went to the gym right after college ends (Biology was the last period, we did Statistics which was incredibly boring) with the lot and managed to get myself perspiring. I did like 15 minutes of cardio, an improvement from the mere 5 minutes last week! It's still quite a disappointment though because Shaun said I have to do at least 20 minutes. Hmm, it's achievable but I don't think I have the mentality to reach the goal. :(

Anyway right now I am back in the kitchen. I used to be working here all the time because I didn't have a table to work on and the apartment is really small. I used to complain a lot about it and one day my sister said she doesn't mind letting me have her table because the dining table is bigger than her work desk anyway... but I think she still prefers working on her own desk. & today, I decided that I should return it to her. It's sort of a self-punishment because... I think I have been really selfish for the past few weeks. Her huge examination is around the corner and I am still bugging her and all with my behaviour. I am not sure how long am I going to return it to her for though. I don't think I would mind working here because, yes, the table is indeed much bigger and I can web-cam here! (She has a problem with me using the webcam in her room- don't probe) We'll see, we'll see. :)

Now that the exam is over, for now, I think I might want to start reading. I have been trying to get started on reading the last volume of Harry Potter because it's really annoying when people start to talk about it and I will have to walk away because I don't want the story to be spoilt! Or maybe a cheesy novel or even mystery or or or..... TWILIGHT. Yes, maybe Twilight. I don't knowwwww really. Throw me a book and maybe I will read it. I need to inject more oomph in my writing style. I do notice that my grammar is really weak and I don't have a wide range of vocabulary. Boohoo.

Ahhh~ it feels nice to be blogging once more. It's like starting to work out and getting your heart pumping and muscles contracting after a long period of bumming around! :D

under pressure, baby

I am tired from being lazy. (thinks)

Haha~ okay that did sound a teeny weeny bit wrong, but reflects my current feeling. That is brought about by realising how much I had procrastinated over the last i-don't-even-know-when-myself. It's terrrrrrible, knowing pretty damn well that I've a promise to keep and feeling sort of sure that I am going to break it, which will bring about undesired consequences (to some).

Oh, & I SORT OF MISS UPDATING MY BLOG. Oh my goodness. Virgin has been really horrid. Their broadband has been screwing up and hopefully it won't until I post this entry. I don't like the feeling of delaying something that I've been wanting to do for a long time. It's like, you want to defecate but you have to hold it in and when you actually have the time to do it, finally, your undigested matter decided that it should stay inside for a while more/ forever. It sucks, really. I am sure you all had those kind of experiences before! (please forgive me for the crude example- at least I did try to use more refined words!)

My absence wasn't quite a pleasant one. Things got a bit (or maybe more than just "a bit") to the negative side for me. Well, it IS the examination period after all. & as usual, haven't been preparing much and my Maths C3 is tomorrow followed by Economics Unit 2 + Accounting F004 the subsequent day. I am worried for the papers that I will be sitting for this coming Friday... amongt other things. I am jaded, sick and tired of the ridiculous politics. I need a getaway. Like, probably run away from home or something. (kidding) ...that place sounds good though. :)

Anyway, more to the cheerful side... did I mention about some of my awesome Christmas presents? :D *gets hyped up* I don't exactly celebrate Christmas and exchange gifts with people, but this year is different and I am elllllllllllllaaaaaaated! Well, Serene got me my beloved Shine On Jersey leggings!!!!! Which, I think I will only wear when it starts to get warmer. & cannabis (hemp) hand cream, which I find really thoughtful because my hands are always dry and cracking! &&& Shaun got me earphones which I have always been thinking to get since the good one spoilt! Too bad that I had to wait for Summer holidays before I can exchange gifts with Mila though. :(

Sigh. It's so nice to be happy. :)
sigh
Oh, and hello red blot! You arrived early.

Winter Wonderland

Landing hard on your bum at the first few minutes of your very first try in ice skating isn't exactly a good start to your journey in mastering (or gain apprenticeship) the sport. Basically, it hurts a freaking lot and gives you a sort of phobia of falling down in the same trend again. That, happened to me last night. How unfortunate.

Yea, this is an interesting picture. The polaroid turned out to be really nice :D even though only one of my eyes was in it!

Yesterday was the day when we (Viriya, Koi, Danial, Syazwan, Le, Harshini, Zahabia and I) went to Winter Wonderland, initially with great excitement. The moment when we reached the venue, we were kind of disappointed. It wasn't as beautiful and grand as how the pictures, videos and whatnot had potrayed it. Well, maybe the giant wheel was the only exception. It stands next to the stunning lake and the size of it is really quite giant-ish. The beauty really tempted me to buy a ride but, a pauper as I always am, it's just not financially right.

Queueing up for the roller coaster!

Rolllller coaster! :D

We spent a good half of the day attempting to entertain ourselves with some of the available rides: roller coaster, some round and round thing (not the carousel) and Haunted Mansion. That was listed according to how much I enjoyed myself during the ride. Seriously, Haunted Mansion was such an... oxymoron? Viriya (whom I sat with during the ride- yes, a ride) and I practically laughed at most of the manequins. There was one with flashing white lightbulbs as the eyes and it's really hilarious because the way it flashes was really monotonous and fake. Ahh~ makes me think of good old Japan days. Their haunted house was za bomz. We screamed so loud until the people acting as the ghosts had to check up on us. (y)

Checking out this bungee doll thing at the German Market.

Unwanted by the duck.

We found a duck which looked like naz. The hair, white patch on the wings and erm... black feathers? Naz has black hair... so...

Naz waddling away~

Danial imitating the waddling actions of Naz.

Awww, Naz was insulted by it :(

Oh, and we found Naz's twin as well!!! The one at the back is called Karan. He's a junior in college and we always made fun of how Naz resembles Karan.

Chilling at the cafe, yo~ hot chocolate time :D
Doing the tango baby~

This is from my camera.

Hot chocolate gives Harshini orgasms. :) KIDDING.

KOI! :D Her 3rd anniversary with her boyfriend is tomorrow, very (y).

What a scary woman. I feel for Le.

The other half of the day was spent in the cafe chatting because it was freezing cold outside and our skating slot was at 7.45PM. We had some good time taking candid pictures with Danial's DSLR! & talking on the phone ahahahahahhaahahahahahha made my day, really.

So, back to my attempt in ice skating... in a nutshell it sucked 1000%. Despite Danial's and Viriya's effort to coach me, I just couldn't move my legs in outward V motion/ balance on ice. Danial was telling me to have confidence, but that is the thing that I am always lacking of. It was demoralising like crap, really. Seeing the way Syaz skates was really funny though, haha! Harshini told me that there was this once when Syaz actually separated a pair of lovey-dovey couple because he nearly lost his balance. When she told Syaz about it, he said that he did it many times. LOL! It was hilarious like crazy when he was telling us about it. :D

Viriya acting tough in front of the machine.

Hahaha, this picture is self-explanationary. I think he (syazwan) found the other half of his christmas present.

Oh, and that guy actually managed to get a monkey from the machine thing where you have to manouver the claw-like mechanism, without his specs. Not bad, but 10+ pounds for that monkey? Lol! I am sure he's going to treasure it. :)

Taken by yours truly, she didn't like it though. I think it has a unique smurf feel to it.

The eventful and tiring day was ended with a german sausage feast which was waaaaaaay bigger than average sausages and overpriced. The ones that we had wasn't scarily huge though, it was more of long and thin. We walked past some booths which sold like huge, long and fat sausages which instantly gave us grostesque thoughts. & speaking of which, there was this ride which little kids enjoyed very much. It's something like fake mechanic reindeers that move along a track. The movement of the thing was quite queer, because it's like bobbing up and down, like sudden and short bobbings, making it look like... nevermind. I think this post is getting too long.

The event ends on 4th January, a good place to go at night if you want to experience a nice walk in the park, get a different view of London on the giant wheel (London Eye does get boring sometimes) and experience a bit of German delicacies. Yea, the German market was also considerably enjoyable!

Don't let your imagination run (too) wild, people!
(What a nice way of ending this entry :) )

Do dreams come true?

It wouldn't stay the same forever.

Waaaaaaaaa, what a nightmare! Hahahha, okay that was a joke. It's real: I fell sick yesterday. Horrible, horrible experience. I hate falling sick! Malfunction of the body limits the number of things that you can do + waste your time. Just imagine, I slept for about 20 hours yesterday. I am not kidding! It's probably good, because I did say that I need to sleep more over the weekends and I did it on Friday. But of course, the opportunity cost is that I missed a day of school.
& not being able to see someone! I need to get used to that though.
Today wasn't productive as well. I feel better though, no more vomitting and excessive sleeping spells. My appetite is still quite bad... saliva tastes as bland as ever, yuck! Oh, the speed which I fell to sleep yesterday was freaking hilarious. It's like right after I eat (which I straight away vomit out once I woke up), give me 10 minutes, snap your fingers and ta-dah! I'm snoring away. I forced myself to stay awake last night because I really needed my body to digest some of the food so that I can get some energy, but it was in vain. I went to dreamland while holding my phone. Haha! :D

Hmm, there was something worth cheering up for today! The electrician came and installed the new shower! YESSSSSSSSSS, NO MORE BATHING IN THE OLD FASHIONED METHOD OMGGGGG!! HALLELUYAH! The new shower system is better than the previous one (obviously) so I am veeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeery happy! Very very.

I want to eat century egg all of a sudden! :D

I can't believe I did that and you said that

Today was so cold and gloomy. I don't think I am liking Autumn, it's not quite what I expected. The image that I always had of Autumn is that the trees are shedding their reddish/ orangish yellow leaves, covering the ground with it and they crackle the moment when you step on them. The sky is blue and the Sun shines radiantly, showering its glory on the surface of the earth. Hmm, sounds a bit like Spring... I think I mixed it up along the way. Blame it on Autumn In My Heart. It was potrayed like that in the drama!

Even though I am quite sad that I am not experiencing my fantasy Autumn, London is still quite a darling (I hope I didn't jinx it). Sure, it is a dangerous place, the things here are more expensive (except for some items like Amanda's M&S, luxury goods) and Boris Johnson seriously need to do some work on London Underground because the air down there is FREAKING FILTHY... but I guess the charm sort of make you fall in love with it in some weird way. I am not very sure why I like it here. Maybe it's the high street/ buildings/ simple things like the feeling you get when you are drinking coffee at Starbucks. Oh, the weather here is definitely one of the reasons why I would pick London over Singapore. Sigh, if only I could stay in UK for university... :(

Okay, enough said about weather & emo stuff. Classes lately has been quite dreadful. I have been getting the sleepy spell and I think I did the nod-head thing (when you are about to enter dreamland but still fighting to keep yourself awake) during Biology today. It was so boring! Or maybe it's quite interesting but I just wasn't able to keep myself awake. I remember the last time I did that was during Accounting class last term and Ashley saw it. He said Mrs Lau looked at how ridiculous I was nodding my head in such a manner, shook her head and frowned. I was so freaking embarrassed when he told me that! I hope she forgot about the incident. Heh! :D

I am going to try to catch up on my sleep this weekend since I am not going for paintball with the lot(phew). 6 hours of sleep in exchange for 9 hours of fun, hmm it's debatable on whether it's worth it or not. But I think I am more desperate for extra sleep, so I guess it IS worth it. Haaha~ I hope it'll be a successful try! :D

Alrightyyy, this is quite a long post. I am going back to tackle my Accounts. I have a test period tomorrow and I don't even know what in the world is going on. Oh, I got 67% for last week's test period. The lowest I've scored for Accounting. Omg, this week is like a record breaking week for lowest test period scores! What a sucky week. :(
grr
P.S: My sister was the one who was crazy over the drama. I only watched the episode when Autumn was potrayed as Spring.
