post essay adrenaline

The overflowing sense of euphoria upon the completion of the last essay for Lent term is keeping me awake at this unearthly hour (yes 2AM is now considered as unearthly). It is with no doubt that my under-eye area will be reflecting just exactly how badly sleep deprived I have been since weeks ago. I am definitely not thrilled at the idea of Shaun seeing me at this state. Henceforth, as of Monday the 21st of March 2011, I shall sleep by 11pm for the next 8 hours. Even though I still have 3 short essays and a quiz to go (all related to Microeconomics), which I will dedicate Tuesday to complete. I am in desperate need to banish the eye mess I have on me!

On a side note, I discovered a movie which is able to soothe my nerves and make me feel all nonchalant... it might be the actress and/or the genre/ period even. Total ! :D

The introduction itself soothes me greatly.

break time

This is probably nothing new to some of you. The first time I saw this was about 2 weeks ago and I'm still addicted to it. IT'S JUST SO GOOD!

Pardon me if I was acting like a paedophile. Awesome dance, I know. Enviable talent, I agree. Explosive energy, yep yep yep. But those are not the reason behind my addiction. It's really all about the girls' hair. O-m-g. I still can't get over the fact that they have such awesome hairstyle! It's really nice and voluminous and... totally funky! Love, love, love it. Full stop.

you can only call me...

Watch the video :)

This song makes me feel like slapping my face with heavy make-up, dress in a glamorous, sexy black suit and sky high heels... which I can only fantasise about because 1) I'll never do that unless I lose myself 2) successfully achieve my ideal body shape and at this stage, I'm heading to the other direction. Arghhh I was getting close to it. Singapore's spoiling me!!

I'm a tiny bit more relieved after submitting 2/3 of my assignments, even more so after finding one module mate who is in the same boat as I am. It got me a bit more relaxed at the last minute, I was so tense about everything!! Never have I felt this way about deadlines before, or rather, being late. This new found sense of urgency for assignment is making me happy for some reason! :)

My plans for today is to get my third assignment done and sort out my song folders. Nerd much?

p.s.: don't call me stripper.

what's somebody like you doing hereee

Just a little update before I hit the bed.

To summarise the things I did during V Day:
Sinful yum

I spent the whole of Saturday (pre-V and CNY) whipping a red velvet which turned out pretty awesome! Not flattering self here but am just mega impressed that my virgin baking experience didn't turn out too badly! I did use a bit too much sugar (was following the recipe FYI), texture of the cake was a tab bit too moist and the frosting was too liquid, not light and fluffy as the bakers like to call it. Hehe, regardless, I am motivated to reward myself with an electric mixer!! I'm still thinking about it though... it's roughly about 15 quid for one. Should I forgo my precious 15 to make my baking activities more efficient but at the same time, in a way, give myself an excuse to indulge in sinful dessert?

Chinese New Year and Valentine's went by pretty ordinarily. It just didn't feel like CNY AND Valentine's for me. The people weren't there, mood wasn't there and the food (!!!) wasn't either. Le sob. Eating my DIY red velvet all by myself in front of the webcam for Shaun wasn't too satisfying... IT'S MEANT TO BE SHARED! (right Pyins? ;D) So yea, I suppose I can always try to reenact whenever I want if I really want to. I REALLY NEED SNOGGING GRRRRRRR. Damn you distance. >:(

Before I end my little post, I really want to share this song. Lubba lubba (I'm starting to sprout nonsense = mega sleepy)

Ahhhhhhhhhhhhlll nebba be de saaaaamee~
if we ever meet again.

in a rush to nowhere

I'm predicting that my Saturday is going to be wasted i.e. unproductive academically. However, I will be meeting some CTC folks for some good Korean food in a couple of hours time! It has been quite some time since I've met them= quite excited!! J'ai assez excité! Wow, I'm actually revising subconciously... *proud of self*

This song describes my mood today:

Oh shit, Rachel just dragged me back into the world of FINAL FANTASY! I'm being enveloped by the beauty of it........................ *stares into space*

OH CRAP. 6.38pm: I'm so going to be late. T_T

everything starts with a small thing?

I just wrote two long paragraphs about how horrible human beings are for reaping satisfaction over someone's sorrow. But apparently, I've deleted them off since there's no need to emphasise how imperfect (in my opinion) this society is. It's only going to make me a sadder being.

The past week hasn't been the best set of days I have. Everything is going wrong! It's really annoying when you're thinking that it'll get better the next day when it actually got even worse. Everyday. Have you felt that way before? From getting your locker broken in, stuff ransacked, your trust about LSE and London destroyed, feeling like you're relatively slower among everyone because you're not keeping up with work, exlusive (negative),... my mind, body and soul are all so down right now. Le sigh. Can I really wait for the holidays? Will it be better? I know that I'll definitely be feeling even more empty then, since so many people are heading back this December! :(

I shall not brood over that. I am listening to Lily's album (It's Not You, It's Me) now and came across one of the songs, Chinese. I reckon it's regarding LDR. Good tune, it's very gentle, lullaby-y! It has pretty nice lyrics too. "I don't want anything more than to see your face when you open the door" -agreed. Let your ears hear the song! (below)

Yea, yea I'm really slow! I have this habit (sometimes) of getting albums and putting them aside for some time before listening to them. Grr, I just have no time to listen to all of them even though I would love to! :(

Anyway, I'm getting some more albums as I'm typing this. Lily Allen's album is really good. WHY DID I KEEP SET IT ASIDE!! Good thing Chanel's website reminded me of it! I was initially attracted by 22 which was on their website (Lily Allen represented for the launch of Chanel Coco Cocoon back in October).

Ohgawd, it's 12.01AM now. I'd better run.

GG

Gossip Girl. Never regretted the moment I started watching it. Even more so when I started to get addicted to the series. I remember I used to resist watching it because everyone (nearly) was watching it. Plus, I heard it's really bitchy and thought it would be very typical American high-school kind of soap... but no way is it like that. Not the second part anyway. Come on, Jimmy Choo for school shoes, being chauffeured around in limo, Louis Vuitton Petit Bucket to smuggle in handphones into the school? Among other high end things. I don't think that's what I would call typical.

I know Season 2 has long ended. I am saving the beloved last episode for as long as I can! It won't be saved for long though. Gna watch it one of these days!

Anyway some scenes about Chuck/Blair from Gossip Girl. Saw pictures of spoilers on Episode 25 while looking for these... boooooo :(

The moment I like the Chuck/Blair pairing!

HAHAHAHAHAHAHA. Chuck said: "Have sex with me". Watch it in HD! Very sexy!

Occasional make out.

Of course, there's the charm other than making out. What Chuck said in here makes me melt. What he said is so very much true, other than the charm.

Chuck's being an asshole.

Those who hasn't started watching Gossip Girl, watch it seriously. (I hope to get most people hyped up about Gossip Girl once more)

Hola

It has been nearly 2 weeks since the Summer terms starts. So far it's pretty mundane, other than International Evening which was super awesome. It beats last year's hands down. The band, 22 (finally settled down to name, if I am not speaking too soon!), was bad assssss. The crowd was bad asssssss too! Imagine everyone standing up, high and clapping/singing along/ screaming/ shouting/ going wild. The atmosphere was yeah, unforgettable! Too bad the talents were not put together sooner or else last year's would have been a blast as well. I'm definitely voting for 22 as the best CTC band! (of course)

I've got some videos of some of the performance. Youtube is useful, haha~ Watch it and love it people!

Supermassive Black Hole.

Regina was obviously pretty nervous... I would be super nervewrecked if I were to open the whole event. Probably pee on the spot or equivalent!

The Scientist.

Rofl on the part when Boobs nearly forgot his line. His voice is (Y)!

You Give Love a Bad Name as encore.

When everybody was hiiiiiiiiigh. :D

The performances weren't as superb as during the practices though... nerves, oh nerves. The pictures are on facebook. Click on the link to view~ :)

For the past 2 weeks, I've done both slacking and studying some bits and pieces. Exams are in less than 20 days time and I'm nowhere near prepared. It's the A Levels, for goodness sake! At this moment, LSE is right in front of this imaginary door. I'm like on the way to grab the key so that I can unlock the door and embrace the university that I've been dreaming of for almost 4 years now. But, will I? I see uncertainties. Obstacles, they will always be there. :/

Speaking of LSE... I actually attended their Visit Day (sort of Open Day for offer holders). It was informative but wasn't sufficient e.g. I didn't really get the insight of what being an LSE student is like. The event was carried out during the Easter holiday so there were barely many students around the campus except the student volunteers and some mugger in the Library. Oooh, the library is awesome! It's really modern, cosy and clean. & very library-like with the tall bookcases and book stacked on them, making you feel like you'r surrounded by books. There's also this huuuuuuge area where you can study, surf the net, blah blah blah. In a nutshell, I like the library. :D

The university actually doesn't remind you of one. Basically the buildings are more of office types rather than blocks of colleges. It's not the kind of university which you always see on dramas which are 99% very campus like surrounded by green, green grass and trees and walk ways and many bicycles... you get my drift. It IS the London School of Economics and Political Science afterall. I would say the buildings suit the university. The lecture halls are very nice too! For Accounting and Finance, we had our subject talk in the Hong Kong theatre. Think high ceiling, law court-inspired design walls and windows that are big and allow plenty of light to flow into the room. ...my description isn't doing much of a help but I like that room a lot! The layout.

I didn't make any acquaintance except for this American chick (according to Shaun) who is unsure on doing Law at LSE/ head back to US of A and do... Biology or something. It's quite a big difference, hmm. We got separated from her halfway though since we decided to skip the Students' Life talk (I attended in the morning session). I didn't get to see Holborn residence too boohoo :( It was too late when we got to the place.

The queue was much longer for the afternoon session (Shaun's Law was in the afternoon whilst mine was in the morning).

Warm and sunny day! :D

There were quite a number of parents who accompanied their kids to the Visit Day, hmm.

Near the main entrance.

LSE Gym. Like, woah.

Le Library. The awesome spiral staircase! It looked bigger when you walk into the library. The point where I took this picture is in the area right outside the library, where you can eat and all that.

I think the girl with the red stockings was posing for me, hmm.

Muggeeeeers!

Tall bookcases filled with books :D

Some meeting room in some new building mainly used by Law and Management students.

It's a pity I didn't take much pictures! It was a brilliant day... :(

a week growth period

The sheep and the sheep.

I am in the midst of making corrections to my T1 and feel really unmotivated (is there such a word?) to continue. My deadline is tomorrow and it's not possible for me to cook up some weird excuse to hand it in late. It's like part of my unit 3 Biology examination. Sighzxz, this sucks! :(

The past week has been quite a torture for my brain due to the lack of sleep. On average, I have been sleeping for about 5 hours daily. I am incurring some sort of sleeping debt for this year, really. Why can't a day be longer, say... 27 hours? Then I can get more sleep = awesome! My brain can generate more cells and I won't have to suffer from STM, which means I won't get conned that easily. Wahaha~ but "if only"s don't come true so too bad, so sad.

Okay, back to serious business. There was basically nothing much which happened last week. Tuesday and Friday were exceptional. Went down to Croydon yesterday to see the band practice. The place was lovely. There were mirrors on 1 whole side of the wall! The practice itself wasn't that good though. Gary wasn't on beat, as usual. Oh well! Head down to London with Shaun after that to attempt his shopping list. It was a lousy try because it was mainly electronic stuff and I don't even know any electronics store in Oxford Circus. Haha~ he did get something for someone although it wasn't what he initially had planned for.

After a little O.C. sightseeing, we met Serene and Terry for dinner. Visited an interesting district before settling for dessert at some Malaysan restaurant. Finished the day with white coffee (some Malysian drink). It could have been ice kacang if not for my curfew. Sighzzxzxz~ Oh, to my surprise (and Shaun's as well) Malaysian's ice kacang is different from Singapore's ice kacang. It's quite interesting that they really use kacang (nuts? They used crushed peanut) on top of the ice. Singapore's is like hidden in the ice. & it's beans and not nuts.

I was supposed to go for rugby/exercising in Croydon with the guys and some of the girls today but decided not to due to the weather prediction + my lazy nature. I can't imagine myself running against the ice cold wind anyway, with mud splashing in all directions and getting myself messy and filthy. It's an interesting picture though, haha~

Speaking of pictures, I think it's time for me to post some! These were taken yesterday. :D
The awesome jamming place! :D

How long has it been, hmm.

the jacket! (k)

This is Naz, the main guitarist.

Gary, the guitarist. This picture truly reflects his attitude. & a blurred Shaun the drummer. He threatened me that he will smash my camera if I were to take a picture of him (wts right!).

Boobs, Enter sandman reserve vocalist?

Half of the band + 2 Burmese juniors + the most awesome thing you can buy from college cafeteria snacks machine!

That's Linh, another junior. She's from Vietnammmmm where Forrest Gump went to fight.

That's it for now. Back to T1, baby!

Best movied watched during Summer 2008

Three words: WATCH RED CLIFF!!!!!!!!!!!1

It's better than staying at home watching your Sims woohoo-ing. Haha, I am serious! It was superbly awesome. I went to watch it with Grace Koh and Teng Teng today, who enjoyed it as much as I did. Haha, Grace was being freaking hilarious in the theater. She keeps on saying random things! There was once when she said something(totally accidental) but hilarious like crazy:

"Where is 曹格(Cao Ge, Gary Chaw)?" when she meant 曹操(Cao Cao) who is the villain in the movie. Haha, & later in the movie she also exclaimed that there was a malay soldier among the troup because he looks like one. The 2 guys in seated in front of me heard that as well and chuckled happily. Hahaha~

Anyway, more about the movie. It was very entertaining! The fighting strategies were fantastic and very 爽 to watch. & Takeshi Kaneshiro acted in it as well! & Vicky Zhao~ A lot of handsome & pretty people to eyecandy on. & and the three brothers are damn cute. Especially the youngest one. His hair is very cool. Aiya, in a nutshell it's well worth whatever you paid for the tickets! :D

I am very happy now because I bought my Zara vest-corset which I initially thought that it was sold out! WHEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE :D

Today was a good~ :D :D

We lunched at MOS! It was very hip because they were playing Britney Spear's songs(from the Blackout album I suppose). & this is my dear Grace Koh.

My camera casted a spell on her because it hated her frown.

A good model student pose.

Wheee~ we checked this out because I didn't know Teng also liked suncakes! But she didn't buy the suncakes because she don't like the brand. -_-

Teng is very picky. She rejected many of the dresses Grace and I picked for her later on too.

Awwwww!

The two chefs did a very cute thing to the sponge cakes. Watch the following video:

Hehe, the way they jump out is very cute! :D

While waiting for Teng as she peed for the 2nd time during our little outing.

The woman who laughed at us as we took photos with spastic face. Or was it he accomplice? & that's Teng after she cleared her bladder! :D

很娇艳的 Grace.

We thought that the only was to take a picture of the three of us was through mirrors...

& we felt embarrassed because the Topshop person kept on looking at us, which results in shaky pictures and us moving on to the next destination...

to find better mirrors. Haha~

Grace wanted to accessorize herself with the weirdest accessory combination. Hmm, how interesting.

My camera still doesn't want to detect Teng's face!! 5 tries already.

One of the hunder dresses which she rejected. :(

Grace again, with demented glam pose.

Grace's Domo-kun in a Zara kids' dress! (too big, sadly)

WHEEEEEEEEE OUTING WITH MILA TOMORROW!! Finally. :D

P.S: I edited Monday, 7 July 2008 post. ;)

Monday, 16 June 2008

Regina's 18th.

Wow, 18. You are officially legal to do so many notorious acts! Haha~ congratulations Regina, but please stay innocent, nice and sexy(no connection, sorry). :D

So here's the post. Complete with photos and, yes, 1 video. Started to take pictures in Serene's host house. I actually went to school just to meet Serene there. The only lesson I had on that day was Economics, but no one turned up for it. Syazwan and I went to talk to him though, about Vietnam and all that. & we took a picture with him! Haha, after that I went to see Mrs Lau to take a picture with her. I think I wrote this before some time ago, right?

MR LEA, who looked like Jack Black in the first week of term.

Syazwan and sleeping Mr Lea.

Mrs Lau(Accounts teacher) and me! :D

Met Serene during lunch time and left school when it ended. Serene's hill was a killer, as usual. But it's really good to train your leg muscles and lose your thunderous thighs. I wouldn't want to climb that everyday though. The gradient is rather steep for a daily routine. Haha~ So yea, chilled there for a while before meeting the rest at 6.45PM in East Croydon Station. A few were late anyway, including the birthday girl who was of course excused. Then off we went to LDN(London).

Regina's party was at The Rock Garden in Covent Garden. I must say that she selected a good restaurant! Hmm, I think I wrote this part before too. I must bring laogong there during August. Hehe~ Oh, after the birthday cake Samuel started giving out glowsticks. I think it was Pyin Nie's idea, which I found brilliant. We had a lot of fun with it! Hehe, she is a good party organizer. :D

After the whole dinner, which lasted through 10+PM, we were supposed to go over the The Gardening Club(complementary due to the party at The Rock Garden) and club. Nearly half of us went home due to various reasons. We had a group hug just outside the restaurant because it'll be the last time we'll be hanging out as a group before the next term starts(3 months later). It was full of good AS love, haha! I was wondering why in the world didn't we take a group picture though. Hmm..

The Garden Club didn't let us in anyway, because most of us didn't have our ID... or rather, we were underaged and unwilling to show our ID. We have to be above 21 to enter. Usually the age requiremnet is 18 and above but since it was Friday, they only let people above 21 into the club. So I decided to go home while the rest look for other clubs around central. Ahh well, I guess I am not fated to enter one before I am of age. :D

In Serene's room.

HYPER INGGRID IN SERENE'S ROOM =...

...Serene being suicidal.

@ the station with Calvin Hew. THIS WAS CANDID.

Syazwan being very time-conscious(rare moment).

No smoking. :D

Calvin and his hunch.

Serene's many attempts to straighten his back as I take the pictures.

The people.

HAHAHA, NICE EXPRESSION SYAZ~~

Birthday girl and me! :D

Serene, me and Regina in candid.

NO SMOKING! :D

We reached the place..(this was taken in the cubicle)

The L-shaped arrangement.

This stretch.

Not forgetting Shaun..

& Samanthaaa~

Our party organizer!

The birthday girl! :D

Samantha taking picture of me taking picture of her.

Awww~ did something go wrong? (No la, I asked her to pose that way hahaha)

Pyin Nie and Wendy and sleeping Boobs.

Aww~~ The chio President of KFC.

Housemates: Regina and Samantha. (before she changed)

After she changed. Do you see any difference?

On the way to change(toilet).

Samantha's 2 emergency stylists. Haha!

Woa, Wendy very poised.

Checking out the pictures.

Shaun was feeling squirmyyyyyy(where's the food?!)

Everyone's waitinggggg...

Finally! My salmon :D

Serene's beef burger.

Birthday girl 开动了~

Aww, the only couple in the party, Felicia and Andy.

Birthday girl and her good friends(Jessica and Felicia).

Sexy in heels.

Dessert! :D

Serene's enjoying it.

Finally, finally and finally.. THE BIRTHDAY CAKE! :D

Samuel trying to hit on the birthday girl who is more interested in the glowsticks.

Aww... the innocence she's showing.

Will it come true?

Hehe, stay happy! :D

Glowsticks time! :D

Calvin's very irritating hand.

I can't remember what was happening.

We were having fun with it.

Andy's having fun with it too.

Even the little girl loves it(of course!).

I LOVE IT~

Hahahahhahha!

Teletubby attempt.

Devil attempt.

Angel attempt. Indeed, angelic she is.

...Shrek attempt?!

My fellow lunch gang. :D

Boobs's boob.

Serene proudly showing off her complete collection of glowsticks(after trading for don't know how long).

Lunch gang by Boobs.

Boobs told us after the shoot that he got shaky hands.

Act cute. He was bullying Samantha before that, erm, by making silly faces... -_-

I am a magnet, see?

Hmm. Ashley and a very gay Naz.

Serene, Regina and Me outside The Rock Garden after the dinner ended. This is about when Serene's camera died. :(

The video as promised. :D
