A sad, but meaningful trip.

I feel so sad and horrible, and guilty in one way or another. Well, today 3e3 and 3e2 had this CIP trip to visit the old folks living around Toa Payoh area. Each group of 5s were like assigned to one room flat in which an old folk(or maybe a couple of them) is living there. Basically, we had to like interact and clean the house, so yea.

I am grouped with Ah Heong, Val Iliadi, Rachel Tay and Steph Chia. Like omgz, Steph is like freaking impatient with her disinfectant and all! And not to forget that she used like so much of Val's precious USA wet tissue. Ahaha. Anyway, we were initially assigned to this old Malay couples but they don't want us to like clean their house and all cause they said that they can clean it by themself. Heh, you couldn't believe that Ah Heong and me felt a little "relieved" when they didn't wasnt us to clean their house.. which is kinda bad..

So in the end we were assigned to another house, with an old lady living in it of which I forgot her name. Like, a thousand apologies for that. Erm, she's a really nice old lady but it's like damn sad.. Her son died cause of cancer at the age of 20+ okay.. and she adopted a boy but after the boy grew up, he did not like, treat her well. Such an asshole right?

The old lady is suffering with heart problems, diabetes and some digestive problem. Oh, and her condition now is pretty bad. She's half blind and her right arm is like bloated and cracking, should be because of her diabetic condition. Oh, and plus she had this operation on the intestine or something. SHE SHOWED US HER SCAR, and it was really horrifying. It's like really really long. From around your abdomen area to your bladder there. Yes, that long. And the whole area is like bulging out.....................................................

DO YOU KNOW HOW MUCH PAIN THAT IS?
Omg, my heart was like literally sinking throughout my whole session of interacting with her. :'(

She's around 80+ now, but looks rather young for her age though. She asked me what's the use of living until so old with such a bad health, halfway blind and being left alone and all that. It's like really super fucking sad, you know? Please, take good care of your grandparents properly before they passed on. Really, and I'd better stop making my granny angry just because I don't want to eat too much veggies. -.-

Oh, I kinda admire that old lady cause to me, I think she's really a brave and strong old lady who managed to live through all that kind of horrid living conditions. :)

Oh and also, she said that Ah Heong is really very pretty. No joke, the old lady said it with such truthful and sincere manner. Haha, does that made your day Heong? ;D
