(quite) a bit of recap

Dear diary... okay kidding. I'm feeling so corny and crappy right now! 4th day into Freshers' Week at LSE and I'm down with an unfortunate case of diarrhoea. The good news is that I never tasted anything from LSE Catering before except a small piece + a short whole sausage and a couple of sandwiches (everything except for the puny piece of sausage was from the 4th floor restaurant- yes that's the actual name of the restaurant). Bad news is it could be either home food (namely sister's cooking), Starbucks or Boobs's cooking. None of which I would like to blame. I hope I'll feel better in an hour. I'll be meeting one of my tutors then!

I have quite a bit to say since 25th September. Thanks for the lovely 3 (a small number of people yet so very dear to me: Shaun, Mila & Rachel- arranged by the time they arrived) who sent me off to Great Britain! The flight was a scary one due to the violent turbulence, or rather a sudden plunging down of the plane (twice actually). Shaun told me that it's caused by air pockets, something about air pressure and whole load of Physics I suppose. Regardless, THANK GOODNESS I ARRIVED SAFELY. The turbulence happened a couple of hours after the take off hence I was praying for safe arrival for the remaining 10+ hours. I tried to keep my mind off feeling scared by watching movies simultaneously. It helped somehow, to a certain extent. I've watched most of the nicer movies that were available. Dozed off for the last hour or so. :)

you 2! Thanks Rachel for rushing down from college and taking the long way to the airport! :D

LOL.

Looking around for a particular 2 adults.

I sense someone trying to imitate a pose of mine.

HAHAHAHHAHAH MILA! It's a cute unglam.

Sadly sitting in one corner feeling lonely and all. I was waiting for my sister to pick me up from the airport. (Safely touched down yey!)

Boots is like UK Watsons. I don't think I've mentioned it before in my A level years. I feel like I should talk more about the UK!

I didn't realise Sim Cards are actually sold in vending machines until Shaun told me last year when we were waiting for Nick's arrival.

There were so many Indians then. I felt like I arrived at the airport in Sri Lanka cause both lanes were filled with Indian faces!

I've aged from the flight.

I was dead sleepy, my head was spinning but I still decided to take a picture, which wasn't very flatting for either of us. (it's still nice to upload it)

26th was mainly unpacking and meeting up with some of ex CTC ppl (Boobs, Jessica, Felicia and Ashley) and one current one. It was a very brief meeting because Thashi managed to get me to buy Belgian waffles with her while the others decided to eat at a Korean restaurant. She went off after we got our waffles and I made my way to my sister's workplace supposedly for dinner. While walking and eating my waffle which was freaking sweet (till my teeth wanna drop ahahhahaa) my gastric (or appendix?) decided to hit me. I ended up meeting her, bought my toothbrush and headed straight home. The pain was unbearable. I quickly downed some porridge and the pain slowly died down- that's why I think it's gastric.

I resumed my packing on the 27th (Sunday). Goodness gracious, never realise I left my cupboard in such a state. The following pictures shall tell the story!

The cupboard my sister and I shared.

My compartment: stuffed with clothes.

My brother's cupboard which is pretty much emptied (all thanks to me!! I am thanking myself now wts)

My initial first compartment (all squashed and stuff- hello Vivienne Westwood!)

It's pretty much an empty shell. Left the heart in Singapore.

My socks, belt and scarves compartment.

Myself and the hat. Before packing.

AFTER packing. Emptied. Moved. Packed.

FILLED! & neat. It won't be neat for long though. Notice my favourite fleece teehee

Come Monday which was registration day! Got to know quite a number of people, yey! Hope I will remember their names. For me, Chinese names are so much more difficult to remember than English ones. I'm still trying to remember the names, though it's pretty challenging. Facebook kind of helps me to remember since it has pictures and the info... which is really useful! At least I've people to say Hi to on the first day! Tuesday and Wednesday were mainly Freshers' Fayre (think of all the societies) and Department (Accounting and Finance) Induction. I've joined 4 societies so far, totalled to 3 days of lunch (boo) and my sister refused to sponsor my activities. Oh well! It pays to socialise and get fit sometimes. So the past 3 days have been socialise, socialise and socialise. I didn't manage to take pictures though, it seems all touristy and no one actually took any pictures! Or maybe I wasn't observant enough. Anyway, next week it'll be all lectures and following week will be lectures & classes. As Julia calls them "the boring bit". Haha! :D

I think I'm down with jetlag. I've been feeling really drained and sleepy wayyyyy early and waking up at around 9 AM. I really hope it will go away soon!

Alright, time to dress up for uni! Mila's not replying my MSN :( oh well. (wow this is quite a long post innit!)
