Yesterday was the day, the day when I do not have to tell people "oh no he is younger than me" for the next 6 months. Even though I don't really give a hoot of how people think of me being the older one, since I act like I am years younger than him and probably look younger (I hope this is the case). Now that he's finally 18, I'm excited to tell people that we are both of the same age, able to do the legal stuff together without relying on edited ID and celebrate his first day of being an Adult!
The celebration was a private one, a family affair really. I'm glad I gave in to Shaun and went for the dinner! It was crazy funny with the karaoke throughout the whole dinner. His dad was constantly on the mike and he's superbly entertaining! Initially I was intimidated by his appearance because he's like really quiet and has this... aura around him. But when he started singing, everything's cool. My nerves started to loosen up and the mood was pretty jolly. I enjoyed myself and I hope he did too!
We took some pictures with my camera but most were taken with Auntie Pat's (that's how I address Shaun's mom). I don't have it yet since Shaun and family (except his dad) went off to HK early today to confirm his PR status. He'll be gone for 4 days! In Hong Kong! Imagine the shopping and egg tarts and mango pudding! Omg, I am so super jealous. When I asked Nick (Shaun's brother) whether he's going to shop there this is what he told me: "nah, I'm just going to sleep at the hotel and buy take-aways." Wts. -3-

We had a coconut cake and it was really very coconut-y. I liked it! The lucky boy enjoyed 2 cakes today. :D

That's pretty much all for the night. Today was not as eventful as yesterday. I edited my template to this starry one to kill the time I had. Before I go, is it me or has Blogger deteriorate the quality of the pictures by so much more than before? It's so pixelated now! D:
