Winter Wonderland

Landing hard on your bum at the first few minutes of your very first try in ice skating isn't exactly a good start to your journey in mastering (or gain apprenticeship) the sport. Basically, it hurts a freaking lot and gives you a sort of phobia of falling down in the same trend again. That, happened to me last night. How unfortunate.

Yea, this is an interesting picture. The polaroid turned out to be really nice :D even though only one of my eyes was in it!

Yesterday was the day when we (Viriya, Koi, Danial, Syazwan, Le, Harshini, Zahabia and I) went to Winter Wonderland, initially with great excitement. The moment when we reached the venue, we were kind of disappointed. It wasn't as beautiful and grand as how the pictures, videos and whatnot had potrayed it. Well, maybe the giant wheel was the only exception. It stands next to the stunning lake and the size of it is really quite giant-ish. The beauty really tempted me to buy a ride but, a pauper as I always am, it's just not financially right.

Queueing up for the roller coaster!

Rolllller coaster! :D

We spent a good half of the day attempting to entertain ourselves with some of the available rides: roller coaster, some round and round thing (not the carousel) and Haunted Mansion. That was listed according to how much I enjoyed myself during the ride. Seriously, Haunted Mansion was such an... oxymoron? Viriya (whom I sat with during the ride- yes, a ride) and I practically laughed at most of the manequins. There was one with flashing white lightbulbs as the eyes and it's really hilarious because the way it flashes was really monotonous and fake. Ahh~ makes me think of good old Japan days. Their haunted house was za bomz. We screamed so loud until the people acting as the ghosts had to check up on us. (y)

Checking out this bungee doll thing at the German Market.

Unwanted by the duck.

We found a duck which looked like naz. The hair, white patch on the wings and erm... black feathers? Naz has black hair... so...

Naz waddling away~

Danial imitating the waddling actions of Naz.

Awww, Naz was insulted by it :(

Oh, and we found Naz's twin as well!!! The one at the back is called Karan. He's a junior in college and we always made fun of how Naz resembles Karan.

Chilling at the cafe, yo~ hot chocolate time :D
Doing the tango baby~

This is from my camera.

Hot chocolate gives Harshini orgasms. :) KIDDING.

KOI! :D Her 3rd anniversary with her boyfriend is tomorrow, very (y).

What a scary woman. I feel for Le.

The other half of the day was spent in the cafe chatting because it was freezing cold outside and our skating slot was at 7.45PM. We had some good time taking candid pictures with Danial's DSLR! & talking on the phone ahahahahahhaahahahahahha made my day, really.

So, back to my attempt in ice skating... in a nutshell it sucked 1000%. Despite Danial's and Viriya's effort to coach me, I just couldn't move my legs in outward V motion/ balance on ice. Danial was telling me to have confidence, but that is the thing that I am always lacking of. It was demoralising like crap, really. Seeing the way Syaz skates was really funny though, haha! Harshini told me that there was this once when Syaz actually separated a pair of lovey-dovey couple because he nearly lost his balance. When she told Syaz about it, he said that he did it many times. LOL! It was hilarious like crazy when he was telling us about it. :D

Viriya acting tough in front of the machine.

Hahaha, this picture is self-explanationary. I think he (syazwan) found the other half of his christmas present.

Oh, and that guy actually managed to get a monkey from the machine thing where you have to manouver the claw-like mechanism, without his specs. Not bad, but 10+ pounds for that monkey? Lol! I am sure he's going to treasure it. :)

Taken by yours truly, she didn't like it though. I think it has a unique smurf feel to it.

The eventful and tiring day was ended with a german sausage feast which was waaaaaaay bigger than average sausages and overpriced. The ones that we had wasn't scarily huge though, it was more of long and thin. We walked past some booths which sold like huge, long and fat sausages which instantly gave us grostesque thoughts. & speaking of which, there was this ride which little kids enjoyed very much. It's something like fake mechanic reindeers that move along a track. The movement of the thing was quite queer, because it's like bobbing up and down, like sudden and short bobbings, making it look like... nevermind. I think this post is getting too long.

The event ends on 4th January, a good place to go at night if you want to experience a nice walk in the park, get a different view of London on the giant wheel (London Eye does get boring sometimes) and experience a bit of German delicacies. Yea, the German market was also considerably enjoyable!

Don't let your imagination run (too) wild, people!
(What a nice way of ending this entry :) )
