Oh my goodness! My leg muscles ache so badly now. It's most likely because of yesterday's shopping trip @ Oxford Street with Laogong and Jessica Choy. Well, they were over for summer school at Cambridge and came over to London yesterday to be tourists. They initially were travelling as a group but somehow got separated to couples. So yes, they had me to guide them around the shops and all. It's a pleasure to be their guide. Haha~ :D
They had so many places to go and I wanted to show them so many places! It's really a pity that they only came over for a day and had to go back Singapore on Monday, which I find a real rush. What a waste! We made quite a full use of our 7 hours though. They managed to go Topshop, H&M(big one), River Island(small one), et cetra. Choy got into her desire Primark which was crazily bustling with weekend shoppers. It was my first time in the London branch. It's very very very big. My legs nearly died in there.
After the Primark round, we walked from there to the meeting point(Oxford Circus tube station). Of course we dropped by shops along the way! But it was still a very long walk, around 2 stations worth of walk. It wasn't that bad because the weather was cooling. If it was in Singapore, I think I would be feeling three times as tired. Weather plays a giant role in how much you can walk. Haha!
Oh well, they are heading back to Singapore tomorrow. I'm starting to feel lonely again even though they were in Cambridge all along. It's nice to know your ex-schoolmates in the same country as you. Hopefully Laogong will be able to convince her parents and come over this December! That'll be a swell. :D
